Mom: Brody, daddy will be gone tomorrow at work. [trying to get him prepared for me to not be at home after the weekend is over]
Brody: Nope... daddy at home tomorrow.
Mom: But, daddy has to work so that we have money.
Brody: Noooo... daddy don't go to work.
Mom: Without money we won't have any food.
Brody: No, daddy no work.
Mom: Without money we won't have a house to live in.

Mom: Without money we won't be able to have any clothes to wear, or a car to drive around in.

It’s been a rough year for my family. My father passed away in May, shortly after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer. A month later, Melanie was diagnosed with breast cancer. I got past the upset and angry stage quickly and I can tell you with certainty that I have a lot to be thankful for. Time: My family got a few weeks with my father before he passed.
